NAEP Membership Information

NAEP currently offers the following levels of membership:

  • Individual Membership: Level 1

Full membership is open to commissioners and practitioners working within equipment services and all individuals who work directly within an organisation or sector whose primary purpose is to supply equipment within the community to enable health and social care to meet their statutory duties, whether that organisation is statutory, voluntary or public sector.

Individuals with this category of membership may wish to undertake a Level 4 Collective Membership where their organisation has or wishes to enrol five individuals for NAEP membership.

  • Affiliate Membership: Level 2

Affiliate membership is open to all professionals and individuals working in the commercial / private sector.

Existing members will have received a renewal invoice classifying their membership as Affiliate.

Existing affiliate members may choose to upgrade to the Level 5 Supplier & Manufacturer Membership category as detailed below.

  • Honorary Membership: Level 3

Honorary membership may be conferred on individuals in recognition of their services to NAEP or their contribution to community equipment services.

Members nominating a particular candidate should ensure that the candidate fits the criteria and has either;

Made a substantial contribution to the work of NAEP

Made a substantial contribution to community equipment services throughout the UK

Made a substantial contribution to the education of the community, such as policy formulation, public awareness etc.

Honorary Members are nominated by the members. To nominate a member of NAEP for Honorary Membership simply click here to download a form. Please note that nominations must be accompanied by four testimonials and submitted to the NAEP Council by the 1st April in each calendar year.

Nominations will be presented at the NAEP AGM in each calendar year, with two Honorary Memberships being awarded as voted for by the NAEP Membership.

  • Collective Membership: Level 4

Collective membership is open to all individuals who work directly within an organisation or sector whose primary purpose is to supply equipment within the community to enable Health and Social Care to meet their statutory duties whether that organisation is statutory, voluntary or public sector.

Level 4 membership facilitates an organisation to have five employees from their organisation to be named individual members of NAEP, for a beneficial total price equivalent to the cost of four individual memberships.

All five individuals will each receive the same benefits as an Individual Membership

  • Supplier & Manufacturer Membership: Level 5

This membership level is open to all commercial partners (manufacturers & suppliers) in the private sector who wish to align themselves with NAEP and benefit from a closer working relationship.

  • Retail Membership: Level 6

Retail membership is open to all individuals who work directly within a retail organisation or sector whose primary purpose is to supply equipment within the community to enable Health and Social Care to meet their statutory duties whether that organisation is statutory, voluntary or commercial/private sector.

Level 6 members may be invited by Regional Group Chairs to attend Regional Meetings as appropriate.

All membership levels [1] are non transferrable and full benefits for each of the above membership categories are detailed in the table below. Membership entitlement will vary depending on the membership category.

Existing Memberships
: During the renewal period for the subscription year 1st April 2012 to 31st March 2013, renewal invoices will be sent in the first week of March 2012, it is important that your renewal invoices are submitted for payment at the earliest as your access to the members area of the website will cease on the 31st March 2012.
