The homecare re-ablement roadshow: making it work for everyone

1Birmingham

Fee: Public sector/charity/NFS £99; central government/private £149

This roadshow addresses the main challenges faced by organisations in establishing effective services in the current policy and economic environment. An enduring and complex issue is how to include all stakeholders in service planning and delivery: local authorities, primary care trusts (and GP consortia), health-care providers, carers, occupational therapists and, most importantly service users themselves and their families. This means finding and implementing new ways of working at all levels and across both health-care and social care providers, to create a cohesive, inclusive and considered business model that engages providers and users, is cost effective, with clear outcomes accountability and longer term implications (health, financial and social) well in view.

This roadshow aims to bring together the main stakeholders in homecare re-ablement services. Together we will examine and discuss what good practice looks like, for the service user and for service providers within your region and local community, and across the UK. Through shared insights and expertise delegates will consider how they and their organisations can embed this in everyday practice.
