Session Title – Evaluation of the Stellar ECO from IQ Medical, a new pumpless self-adjusting hybrid mattress.

Session Bio – This small evaluation sought to determine the clinical & patient benefits of using the Stellar ECO for patients at high risk of pressure damage and/or with existing pressure damage in a community hospital setting.

Rosie’s Bio:

Rosie is a clinical nurse specialist in tissue viability working in Worcestershire for over 20 years. The last five years as the lead of the tissue viability team. This covers a wide geographical area of Worcestershire and Herefordshire (for mental health services) that includes community patients, community hospitals and nursing homes. Rosie continues to provide a clinical input for patients while also offering a strategic vision to the organisation. The improvement in pressure ulcer is important across these setting and she has helped shape the use of equipment in her trust, both in inpatient areas and community settings. Across a wide range of client groups including children and mental health services. She continues to look for innovative and beneficial equipment for her client groups.
